Abstract

This paper makes four substantial and original contributions to knowledge. First, a wider range of assessment methods for use modelling is evaluated. Second, it is found that performance, personality measures and self-report measures did not converge on the same underlying psychological processes. Third, we report a significant new finding that personality questionnaires may reflect the pre-injury personality rather than present personality of an individual with head injuries, particularly when frontal-lobe damage is involved. Fourth, a new and expanded cognitive theory is presented with which to underpin work on user modelling for universal access to technology.
