Abstract

This article explores translators' overnight revision processes. Three subjects were asked to participate in the think-aloud protocol (TAP) studies to translate and revise a text from Chinese into English. They were subsequently interviewed. A tentative model of revision process was developed from the TAP data. Three types of individual revision styles were identified as a result.
