Layzell, R. 2009. Key notes. National Review of Live Art in Glasgow Feb 2008
Title of work | Key notes. |
---|---|
Creators | Layzell, R. |
Description | Key Notes is a lecture as performance based on the Keynote Address and motivational speaking, using the Mac 'Keynote' software as support. The additional motivation came from Layzell's extended experience as a visionaire (artist in industry) from 1996-2003. This work is a commentary on aspects of corporate life, self, and media presentation. This work combines vitriol and humour to unpick the foibles and manipulations of corporate and motivational speaking. The audience is beguiled through sophisticated technique and the technically familiar to be seduced by content that is essentially nonsensical. |
