What role for the arts in palliative care?

We can try to improve palliative care in different ways. Usually we look to published accounts of research, textbooks, teachers or colleagues to question the work we do. There are other ways of learning, however, and other ways of trying to improve our patients', and our own, sense of wellbeing. A movement which is gaining momentum involves the arts and the contribution they can make to health care.
