Abstract

The classic Jin Kui Yao Lue by Zhang Zhongjing describes the condition hysteria, but details of various aetiology, manifestations and treatments of this condition are found in different clauses of the classic. In this paper, the authors attempt to discuss this condition in a more systematic manner, and explain why different treatments are needed for different manifestations of hysteria in TCM.
