Abstract

This commissioned essay by Ghislaine Boddington appears in the online publication Excited Atoms by Judith Staines. The essay traces a personal pathway starting from the early 1990s through creative collaborations in performance telematics, the use of technology to project sound and images between different locations.
The online publication was presented by On-the-move an agency to encourage and support the mobilty of artists and cultural managers in the performing arts. The essay analyses the forms of telematics used most often in performance and details these developments over the past decades.
