Title of workThe river flows
CreatorsLayzell, R.
Description

The River Flows explores cross-cultural expectations, confusions and interventions in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Changsha, Taipei and Beijing.
It also investigates Tai Chi practice in the East and West, the perception and position of the 'foreigner' or 'wai guoren' in mainland China, the politics of performing in a culture of 'restriction', and the ecology of rapid urban expansion.
A performance presented from an askance viewpoint of wonder, bewilderment and humour.
