Abstract

The origins of Punk Now!! reside in the Second Annual Punk Scholars Conference and Postgraduate Symposium held at Birmingham City University in 2015. Organized primarily by Matt Grimes and Russ Bestley, the conference, by its very
name, was part of a series of events held by the Punk Scholars Network (PSN). Now in its sixth year, the Annual Punk Scholars Network Conference and Postgraduate Symposium has grown to an international stature, whilst the PSN itself has many international affiliates across the world, including America, Australasia, Indonesia, Mexico, France, Iberia and Colombia. The editors also drew upon a number of chapter outside of the symposium, meaning that this volume is less a book of conference proceedings but more an overview of contemporary punk and punk scholarship.
