Transient hole (variations) VII (seven) & X (ten)

Lutschinger was co-curator of the Vienna and London instantiations of Transient Hole, the seventh and tenth exhibitions and sound art concerts of co-curator Alexander Felch’s hybrid curatorial project, with symposia. The creative prompt refers to a concept for a media artwork that cannot be materialized for it deals with a moving void – a transient hole. Participants provided their own interpretations of this challenge and developed means to represent them, through art or science, to display processes that cannot be depicted in reality. The aim of the project is obviously not to find a solution to an existential paradox but to bring about a reflection from a myriad of disciplines and different perspectives, exploring the limits of representation.
