Biography
Biography Praveer Towakel is a lecturer at Middlesex University, Mauritius, with multidisciplinary research interests spanning computer vision, deep learning, digital twins, cyber-physical systems, Internet of Things (IoT), and environmental monitoring.
Teaching Praveer Towakel is a lecturer on the International Foundation Programme (IFP) at Middlesex University. The IFP is a preparatory programme designed to equip students with the essential academic skills, confidence, and transferable competencies required for successful progression into undergraduate degree study. His teaching responsibilities on the programme include delivering labs, seminars, and workshops across a streamlined, integrated curriculum based on four core modules. He supports students in developing key study skills, familiarising them with a range of subjects offered at undergraduate level, and providing individual academic guidance to help them make informed choices about their degree pathways. The IFP programme is accredited by Middlesex University (UK) and caters to students from diverse international backgrounds, preparing them for the demands of UK higher education.
