Biography

Biography

Irfaan Oodally is a lecturer in Accounting, Finance, and Corporate Governance with more than twelve years of academic experience in Mauritius and Australia. He teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Middlesex University Mauritius and the Open University Mauritius, and contributes to curriculum design, quality assurance, and student supervision.

He has completed his PhD in Accounting, Finance and Economic Governance through the University of KwaZulu-Natal and the Open University Mauritius. Dr. Oodally has held programme leadership roles and previously served as Head of Business School at Middlesex University Mauritius. Alongside academia, he has worked in internal control, governance, and risk management, including with the Australian Department of Home Affairs. He is a Scopus-indexed researcher, fluent in English and French, and actively contributes to applied research, industry engagement, and student-centred learning.
