Biography
Biography Irfaan OODALLY is a Chartered Accountant (Australia) and experienced academic with over a decade in teaching, finance, and governance. He lectures and manages programmes in Accounting, Finance, and Management at Middlesex University Mauritius and the Open University of Mauritius, where he has earned recognition for his engaging teaching style and consistently high student success rates. Alongside academia, Irfaan has worked in banking and government, holding senior roles in risk management, internal control, and policy development at Al Baraka Bank (Mauritius) and the Australian Department of Home Affairs. He combines this professional expertise with his academic research as a PhD candidate in Accounting at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, focusing on sustainability and governance in the SADC region.
Beyond his professional career, Irfaan is also an entrepreneur, running a retail pharmacy business and pursuing property ventures. Fluent in English and French, with international experience across Mauritius, Australia, Africa, and the Middle East, he is passionate about bridging education, finance, and entrepreneurship to create lasting impact.
Teaching Irfaan OODALLY currently lectures across Accounting, Finance, and Management at both Middlesex University Mauritius and the Open University of Mauritius. His teaching responsibilities include:
