Biography

Biography

Suraj Juddoo is a Senior Lecturer at Middlesex University Mauritius and has been involved in research surrounding Big Data in the health care sector as part of a doctoral work towards optimizing data quality. He was also chairperson of the Mauritius Emerging Technologies Council, whose main focus was to advise government on emerging technologies use.

As his doctoral research discussed about aspects related to data governance, focused on data quality and he experimented and discussed about machine learning application, he continued to work with counterparts in UK around the social, legal, political and ethical impacts that use of AI and Big Data might bring. Collaborating with international bodies such as UNDP and GIRAI, he is working on assessing and supporting AI strategies and policies in Mauritius.
