Biography

Biography

Dr Sean Maloney is a strength and conditioning coach and lecturer based in Milton Keynes, England. He started his own coaching business, Maloney Performance, back in 2011 following an internship with the English Institute of Sport.

Currently, Sean leads S&C support for MK Breakers basketball club and MK Badminton Academy, with private work predominantly focused on the development of youth athletes. Sean teaches on the MSc Strength & Conditioning Course at Middlesex University, as well as for the University of Bedfordshire and the Professional Golfers’ Association.

He completed his PhD in 2016 which investigated the effects of stiffness and asymmetries on change of direction performance.

Sean currently competes in masters’ weightlifting and sprinting, as well as being a lapsed powerlifter.
