Biography

Biography

Nancy Slonims, MA(RCA), worked at Pentagram and John Brimacombe Associates as a senior designer before becoming an illustrator, represented by Beint & Beint for over 20 years.

She worked for Design groups such as The Partners, McColls Agency, Yellowhammer and ICA who commissioned work for clients: Virgin Atlantic, Nabisco, Lee Cooper Jeans, BBC Panorama, Barclays and Chase Manhatten Bank. Nancy worked for many publishers and illustrated book covers most notably ‘The Four Great Novels’ Dashiell Hammett, Picador; ‘The Chandler Collection’ Raymond Chandler, Cardinal and ‘From Bauhaus To Our House’ Tom Wolfe, Pan Books.

Nancy is Programme Leader of BA Hons Illustration at Middlesex University.

Teaching

Nancy Slonims is a senior lecturer who has taught Graphic Design and Illustration for more than 25 years at a number of different institutions including, the University of Westminster, University of the Creative Arts, and Chelsea School of Art. She has also been an external examiner for University of the Creative Arts. Nancy is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Programme Leader of BA Illustration at Middlesex University.
