Biography
Biography Rob has been in the industry for over 25 years working across the fields of strenght and conditioning, physical therapy; corporate fitness, higher education, youth development; adaptive sport and elite sports performance. Having completed two Olympic cycles (2015-2022) as the Head of Physical Performance for the Netherlands Olympic Ski, Snowboard and Skeleton Bobsleigh programme, he has returned to Middlesex University as the Programme Leader for the suite of MSc Sport Rehabilitation Programmes. Prior to the Olympics Rob lead the long term athlete development programme (LTAD) at the prestigious Harrow school. Here he was responsible for the physical development and performance of 800 boys across a myriad of sports which produced some outstanding successful professional athlete Holding an undergraduate degree in Sport Rehabilitation and MSc in Performance Enhancement & Injury Prevention and he is one the earliest graduates to obtain British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT) accreditation. Rob is a noted speaker and consults to a number of elite teams and organisations Outside of work he has a keen interest in extreme sport and travels regularly to participate in back country snowboard expeditions to remote parts of the world.
Teaching Rob has a passion for the application of theorical knowledge into practice.
