Biography
Biography Dr. Alireza Rohani is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at Middlesex University, London. His research
interest includes social and environmental accounting with the main focus on
carbon accounting and biodiversity. He has published papers in highly
ranked journals such Business Strategy and the Environment, International
Journal of Finance & Economics, Technological Forecasting & Social
Change, Journal of Applied Accounting Research, among others. He has been
involved in different research funds such as “SME Financing for Biodiversity:
Building Nature Measurement and Impacts into SME Financing (‘SME FinBio’) -
with Agri-Food Sector Case Study Example” and “Scoping Study for Survey of
Early-stage Entrepreneurs”. He has presented his research works in a number of
highly-rated European and UK conferences including the European Accounting
Association (EAA), British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA), and
Management Accounting Research Group (MARG). He has been awarded PGCertHE
making me a fellow of UK Higher Education. He has supervised more than thirty
master students from MSc. Financial Management, Banking and Finance, and
Investment and Finance in the fields of CSR, Merger&Acquisition, Islamic
Baking, corporate governance, and so forth. He has also supervised three PhD students to completion, serving as the
