The development of the Central Asian Declaration of the Principles of Archaeological Heritage Management, first of its kind strategic document developed in Central Asia led by International Institute of Central Asian Studies in 2021

I led an interactive public forum, dealing with the questions directly from the local students and residents. I helped with developing heritage tourism related modules for Silk Road International University of Tourism, Samarkand. I also contributed to make local communities realise the potential of heritage tourism development in Karakalpakstan region, the most deprived area in Uzbekistan by way of making a presentation and leading a workshop for community engagement. I was the only tourism academic invited to develop the articles on sustainable heritage tourism and community engagement for the Declaration.
