Abstract

The paper analyses the consequences of Palestine’s UNESCO membership for archaeology. The areas of investigation include international humanitarian law rules governing cultural property protection, restitution, the illicit trade in antiquities, underwater cultural heritage and the framing of a law on antiquities protection.
