Biography

I am a registered peadiatric nurse with over 25 years of experience in acute general peadiatric nursing. Throughout my career, I have developed a diverse skillset that includes clinical expertise along with management, coaching, training, and quality improvement skills.

My varied roles have enabled me to gain substantial experience leading teams, developing services, teaching nursing students and staff, and driving improvements through projects and initiatives.

A particular passion of mine is teaching, which I have delivered in higher education and clinical settings. In my current position as a child health lecturer, I have served as a module leader, planning, developing, delivering, and evaluating teaching sessions across various modules in virtual and face-to-face formats. Additionally, I have experience in policy writing, providing clinical support and supervision to staff at all levels, working with senior management on service redesign, conducting audits and evaluations as a CQC Specialist Advisor, and leading a BAME network and serving as an RCN steward. My well-rounded expertise equips me to excel in pediatric nursing roles requiring clinical excellence, leadership, coaching, quality improvement, and the ability to drive change.
