Biography
Biography Carol Graves is a Senior Lecturer
with experience as a Module and Programme leader as well as Director of
Programmes and is a registered nurse, NMC teacher and HEA Fellow. She has
played a role in designing curriculum, creating engaging learning experiences,
and overseeing the overall educational journey of students. Her dedication to student success is reflected in her interest in progression and support for students. In her new role as Lead for Progression and Support of Adult Student Nurses Carol is known for fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. She
has an interest in leadership development and her leadership style is characterized by a balance of empathy, strategic thinking, and a focus on continuous improvement.
Teaching Carol currently teaches on a variety of pre-registration modules including those on the Nursing Associate Programme and the BSc Adult Nursing Programme. This includes teaching topics such as leadership, professionalism and clinical skills to an advanced level. She has a specific interest in respiratory and diabetes management. She also teaches post-registration modules including the Professional Nurse Advocate module promoting restorative clinical supervision and supporting NHS staff to develop quality improvement initiatives.
