Miss Carolyn Perriman

Biography

Carolyn Perriman is a passionate advocate for Children and Young People's Health.  Following completion of her Nursing Degree Programme in 1999, Carolyn went on to work within different roles within the National Health Service, providing compassionate care to children / young people and their families.

In the role of the Practice Development Nurse, Carolyn's passion for Teaching and supporting staff / student's developed and led her to pursue a career in further education.  She completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCertHE), which equipped her with the skills and knowledge to educate the next generation of CYP nurses.  This milestone allowed her to combine her passion for nursing with her love of teaching.

Within the role of Senior Lecturer Carolyn has taught students from different Cohorts on a number of theoretical modules and clinical skills sessions.  She has had experience of a number of roles within the Department, from Module Leader to Programme Leader, which have provided her with a wealth of knowledge and skills to further her development.

In addition she is an Academic Advisor who provide support, guidance and pastoral care to her group and an Academic Assessor who supports students in the practice environment and reviews the associated assessment tool.
