Biography
Biography I'm senior lecturer in Branding and Digital Media and Programme Leader for BA Creative Digital Design Professional degree apprenticeship plus module leader for Creative Advertising; Campaign Planning; at Middlesex University. I hold a PhD from University of Westminster and my research background explores digital content creation, creativity and new mediums of distribution, accessibility, interactivity and online sharing. I place importance on linking student projects to industry partners to help prepare them for the workplace and am currently conducting research into work-based learning and Degree Apprenticeship. Previous to my academic roles, I worked for 25 years in the creative sector managing creative teams in design agencies, creative services departments and for terrestrial and satellite television companies. During this time, I worked with a variety of high-level corporate, broadcasting and music industry clients and acquired a wide range of skills and knowledge that includes the conceptualisation and production of promotional and branding campaigns, graphic and moving image design across different media platforms. My knowledge and experience places me in a unique position to understand how industry and academia work in partnership.
