Biography
Biography Dr Tianchen Li the Program Leader of BA Business
Management Innovation and Entrepreneurship (general & top-up) and a Senior
Lecturer in International Management and Innovation at Middlesex University.
Prior to joining Middlesex Business School, he held a teaching position at
University of Essex since 2014. He holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship and an M.A. in
Social Science Data Analysis from University of Essex, a MSc. in International
Business from University of Liverpool and a B.A. in Computer Science and
Technology from China. He specialises in the use of advanced quantitative
methods, including econometrics, panel
data analysis, multilevel models and bayesian statistics, and has
experience of research in both academic and industrial contexts. Tianchen’s research interests are in the areas of
the entrepreneurship, innovation and technology management, internationalization
of firms, and global strategy. He has published in a number of top journals
such as Journal of World Business,
International Business Review, Journal of Business Research, European Business
Review, International Studies of Management & Organization, Management
Decision, Journal of General Management, among others. He has reviewed for
a number of leading journals, such as Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of
International Management, International Business Review, and Journal of General
Management. Tianchen is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy
and has substantial experience of high-quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate
levels. He has experience of designing, leading, and delivering modules in the
following fields: Innovation and Entrepreneurship MGT 3014 Innovation Management (ML); MGT 2225 Principle of Innovation and
Entrepreneurship (Fast Track) (ML) Advanced Quantitative Analysis and Statistics: MGT 3028 Business Analytics (ML) MGT 4900 International Business Management Project MGT 4543 Management Analytics (ML) Tianchen was nominated for the Best Module Award for
the Students' Choice Awards of the University of Essex Students' Union, UK,
