Abstract

Robots and Avatars is a programme of activities designed to explore how young people will work and play with new representational forms of virtual and physical life in 10-15 years time. It was co-conceived and co-produced by Body>Data>Space director Ghislaine Boddington and NESTA.
It includes range of educational events,an exhibition, a website and a book/DVD. It will investigate new relationships and skills required by the future workforce, and what the forthcoming generations can expect from their jobs, careers and recreation time. A key concern is the evolution of potential identities of todays younger generation.
