Abstract

The book presents new ways for children to think about and playing with toys - part instruction manual and part gallery of mutant toys made by childfren. The work featured is thanks to school children from Headley Park Primary School in Bristol, and Raglan Junior School in London, as part of an arts project deconstructing and constructing toys. The early stages of Supertoys project were supported by Creative Partnerships, Bristol.
This book is published in conjunction with the exhibition Supertoys at Arnolfini, Bristol UK, November 2008 to January 2009.
