Abstract

This forms part of Pearson's new 'Blueprints' series which has been created to offer a unique introduction to the scope of each legal subject with guidance for approaching the study of the subject as a university student. It should be understood that the reader comes to the subject for the first time and no background knowledge should be assumed. Whilst other introductory books attempt to present the letter of the law in the most basic terms, the Blueprints series focuses on a systematic approach to the study of law as both an academic subject and a force in society.
The series purports to provide an overview of the legal subject (in this case the law of torts) and a framework that prepares the student for further study.
