The aim of Phase 1 was to develop and refine a universal, multi-component drug education programme for young people aged 13–15. This consisted of six components of the DSM Foundation’s current drug education programme: 1) Theatre in Education, 2) student workshops, 3) teacher training, 4) drug education lessons, 5) workshops for parents and carers, and 6) Youth Ambassadors. This would be evaluated in a range of schools in the Southeast of England in Phase 2, and then adapted as needed for wider roll out in Phase 3.
