Biography
Biography Dr Susan Pascoe is Associate Professor of Law in the Department of Law and Social Sciences at Middlesex University, London. After achieving First Class Honours in her LLB degree at University College London, she qualified as a solicitor and undertook work in a wide range of areas including conveyancing, matrimonial work, probate and litigation. She still maintains her name on the roll of solicitors. She subsequently completed a PhD at King's College London on 'Significance for Trusts of Land of some Key Aspects of the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996'. Her current teaching and research interests are in Land Law. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education, was appointed a University Teaching Fellow in 2009 as a result of demonstrating excellence in teaching and learning and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Susan is the Director of Programmes for Law with responsibility for the day-to-day running of the LLB, BA Law and LLM programmes and overseeing operation of the programmes. She has considerable experience of School, Faculty and University Committees and of validations. She has validated LLB, BA Law and LLM programmes for the London, Mauritius and Dubai campuses. She has also held various positions of responsibility within the Department including Acting Interim Head of Department for Law and Politics from August 2023 until February 2024. Qualifications: - Solicitor - PhD (King's College London) - Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education - LLB (University College London)
Teaching - Land Law on the LLB Programmes. - Previous areas of teaching include Equity and Trusts, Business Law, Legal Method, Family Law and Land Law on the Common Professional Examination programme.
