Biography

Biography

Dr. David Gamez is a senior lecturer in computer science at Middlesex University, UK, with expertise in philosophy, artificial intelligence and psychology. In previous research he has worked on agent systems, spiking neural networks and the philosophy and science of consciousness. His current project is a new universal measure of intelligence based on prediction (https://www.davidgamez.eu/pi). Gamez’s most recent book is Human and Machine Consciousness (https://www.openbookpublishers.com/product/545). His previous publications include What We Can Never Know (2007), What Philosophy Is (2004), co-edited with Havi Carel, and many papers and book chapters on philosophy, artificial intelligence and psychology. A complete list of Gamez’s talks and publications is available on his website: https://www.davidgamez.eu.
