Abstract

This was originally presented as the keynote address to the 2009 Congress on Research in Dance (CORD) conference at De Montfort University UK. It was designed to respond to themes taken from papers presented at the conference and to offer a provocative view of the trends in dance research and scholarship evidenced at the conference.
