Description | Mullaniff’s large paintings ‘Interior’ was derived from a modest piece of cotton dress fabric from the Victoria and Albert Museum’s textile collection and dates from the eighteenth century. Mullaniff alters the status of the fabric from dressmaking to painting and asks the viewer to reconsider the aesthetic value of pattern. |
