TitleNkisi nkondi: an image of transference and projective identification in the analytic process
AuthorsHenderson, D.
Abstract

This paper explores what it might mean for the patient to use the analyst as an nkisi nkondi. The nkisi nkondi is also known as a nail fetish. The study procedes using four categories: construction; power; and, time. The nkisi nkondi and the analyst are conduits for the managing of the unquenchable passions for order and for violence.
