Abstract

During recent years, the ICT/BPO sector has consolidated itself as a key pillar of the Mauritian economy with a GDP contribution of 5.8% (2019). Over 800 companies operate in this sector and provide a variety of jobs to Mauritians. Whilst the outbreak of the coronavirus has impacted every sector in different ways, the ICT sector is of no exception. A mix of prospects and hurdles have been reported within this sector due to the pandemic outbreak.
