Abstract

Exploring the effective use of digital technologies to galvanise the body into political action. It discusses the interface of the virtual and the material in Ursula Biemann's video essays that mobilises the political, and considers Christian Nold's locative media projects that enable community activism. This paper then shows how these new media practices may reflect on the relevance of ideas around psychogeography through which to situate the history, politics, and performance of locative media.
