Title | Work-life balance, recovery strategies, and well-being in fire service personnel |
Authors | Payne, N. and Kinman, G. |
Abstract | The impact of work-life conflict and enhancement on sleep and well-being was examined in fire service personnel, together with the role played by recovery strategies (rumination and detachment). Non work→work conflict and enhancement and detachment predicted sleep quality. Work→non work enhancement and the main/moderating effects of rumination were predictors of work well-being. The importance of developing interventions to enhance work-life balance in the fire service is emphasised. |
