Abstract | The Imaginary of Greenham Common (17-20 August 2022, Beaconsfield, London) was a series of events that revisited the women's peace camp at Greenham Common (1981-2000) in the context of the major retrospective of paintings by ecofeminist artist and activist Monica Sjoo (curated in collaboration with the Feminist Library), who was involved at Greenham and other peace camps. My contribution on 20 August included an introduction to the visual activisms of Greenham and the moderation of a conversation between Anne Robinson, Liz Murray, Minna Haukka, and Harriet Hill, followed by a peripatetic violin performance by artist Tansy Spinks. https://beaconsfield.ltd.uk/a-conversation-the-imaginary-of-greenham... and https://beaconsfield.ltd.uk/peace-camp-the-imaginary-of-greenham-com... |
