Title | Legal opinion on war crimes related to the United States occupation of the Hawaiian Kingdom since 17 January 1893 |
Authors | Schabas, W. |
Abstract | On the assumption that the Hawaiian Kingdom was occupied and subsequently annexed by the United States, and that the occupation continues to this day, the issue of war crimes committed by the occupying power arises. The article examines the legal and factual basis for the charge that war crimes have been committed and are being committed, bearing in mind the historic content of war crimes law as well as its progressive developments. |
