Abstract | Importance: BRCA1 promoter methylation has been proposed as a mechanism of homologous recombination deficiency in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). Studies evaluating BRCA1-methylated EOC (BMEOC) do not consistently support improved survival outcomes following platinum chemotherapy. |
