| Abstract | This editorial provides a detailed summary of the eight papers published in the double special issue in Venture Capital Journal focusing on SME green innovation financing. The papers cover a wide range of topics, including a literature review of SME green innovation startup finance, qualitative papers exploring business angel green investment learning practices and SME green and sustainable finance ecosystem development and quantitative green VC papers. Collectively, the papers offer a wide range of emerging and more mature market contexts, theory building around institutional logics, ecosystems and entrepreneurial learning and green patient capital and practical policy insights for public-private blended financial solutions for green innovation startup and scaleup financing. Theses papers provide important lessons for more effectively tackling global climate and biodiversity challenges. |
