Abstract

This study is evaluated the £15m fund that provided grants of up to £50,000 to sub-postmasters in the most deprived areas of England to modernise their branches and reduce the risk of closure. The aim of the evaluation was to assess the impact of the DUPOF on post offices, local economies and local communities. The evaluation was also expected to highlight wider lessons regarding the role of small businesses in neighbourhood renewal.
