Luka Vuskovic analysis: defensive talent, tactical limits and Liverpool fit

When you assess a young centre back, especially one generating as much attention as Luka Vuskovic, the first thing you look for is clarity. What does he do well, what does he struggle with, and how does that translate into the system you are trying to build?

With Vuskovic, that clarity arrives quite quickly. His strengths are obvious, almost impossible to miss. His limitations are just as clear once you dig into the data and watch him over a full game rather than short clips.

From my perspective, this is a player with very strong defensive traits, as seen on the below profile plot, but also one whose weaknesses raise serious questions when you map him into how Liverpool play.
