| Abstract | This paper came out of my work as chair of the European Design-for-all and Assistive Technology Standardisation Co-ordination Group (a working group of the European ICT standards board) and described the difference between the requirements for older and disabled people to use mainstream products and the lack of provision of accessible useable technology. It lead to an invitation to the Ministerial Conference on e-Inclusion entitled "ICT for an Inclusive Society" in Riga, Latvia, in June 2006, to lead the users input to EU mandate 276. |
