Abstract | This report lays out a discussion framework for understanding the role of human-computer interaction (HCI) in public policymaking. We take an international view, discussing potential areas for research and application and their potential for impact. We consider how to more deeply integrate and act to meet user needs during the creation of the digital systems that are essential to modern life. |
