Abstract | In these two interviews, Katy Deepwell speaks to two leading feminist curators: Rosa Martinez and Maria Lind about the different strategies they employ in order to raise questions about women artists, feminism and the practice of curating. Rosa Martinez is based in Barcelona. She has curated more than ten biennials including Moscow (2005-2007), Sao Paolo (2006), Venice (2005), Echigo-Tsumari (2001-2003), Pusan (2000), Santa Fe (1999), Istanbul (1997), Barcelona (1998-1992) and Manifesta 1 (1996). Maria Lind, based in Stockholm, is Director of the International Artists Studio Programme in Sweden (IASPIS). From 2002 to 2004, she was the director of Kunstverein München and from 1998-2001, she was a curator at Moderna Museet in Stockholm (1998-2001). |
