Abstract | Kalaitzakis et al. 2003 posited that it was possible to characterise a special type of on-line community whose members were ‘intensely focused’. In this paper we report upon a longitudinal study through which the authors sought to identify whether it is possible to identify an Intensely Focused Group (IFG) and if so what special requirements its members might have. The study centres on CNP which has a retail website and seeks to encourage community building. |
