Abstract | Hamstring strains are a common soft tissue injury in elite soccer. The injury and reinjury rates for this are high, and efficacious prevention strategies are yet to be standardized. After the research herein, training modalities emphasizing hamstring eccentric strength training progressing from low-velocity to high-velocity activities and the prevention of fatigue (i.e., conditioning drills) are recommended. |
